*Precious Metal Clay, PMC was developed and patented in the 1990's by Mitsubishi Materials of Japan. Microscopic particles of silver are suspended in a moist organic binder to create a material similar to modeling clay. After air drying the created pieces are then heated in a kiln where the binder burns away and the metal particles fuse to form solid metal 99.9% pure. The metal can them be sanded, soldered and polished just like conventional metals.
